Before it was a co-ord, it was a sari. The kind with real gold thread running through it, worn once a year and remembered for longer. We took that weave — the Banarasi gold-on-colour brocade our mothers wore to weddings — and asked what it would look like on us, on a Saturday, at twenty-three.
The answer is a deep emerald base lifted by a hand-drawn gold leaf print, cut into a fitted peplum top with your choice of tailored shorts or trouser underneath. It's Indian in its bones and entirely its own in its silhouette — heritage worn forward, not framed behind glass.
Underneath the print, it's built the way everything at AUREAH is built. The top is padded in, so there's nothing extra to think about layering underneath. Both the shorts and the trouser are fully lined — soft against the skin, never see-through, never riding up — with real pockets in each, because a good outfit shouldn't mean giving up somewhere to keep your phone. The fabric is light and breathable enough to wear through a full evening without once having to adjust yourself.
The look arrives finished. A bandana headband to lift the neckline. A pendant with a two-tier lock, styled to fall like two necklaces of different lengths. A ring to close it. Nothing left for you to source or style — just wear it as it comes.
